Just days after a general election had decisively dismissed one Canadian government and elected another that had still yet to formally take office, more than eighty planning and development professionals, elected policymakers, researchers, and advocates, convened at the invitation of Tyee Solutions Society, SFU Public Square, SFU’s Faculty of Urban Studies and School of Public Policy to brainstorm practical ways the incoming government could help create more secure, suitable, and affordable housing in Canadian cities within its current mandate.
